Some ideas won't to go away after just one painting. 

They demand deeper, thorough exploration.  And I have to dig deep if I want to uncover any of the truths or illuminations they might hold -- you have to rotate that diamond in the light if you want to see all its facets and angles, and learn the mysteries dwelling beneath its myriad glittering surfaces.

A few of my series will be ongoing, . . .  just when I think I've finally got a grip on my obsession of the moment, that diamond will scintillate and flash, then turn teasingly to show me yet another hidden structure.
